 Hobe Sound Soccer Presents our Spring  Developmental Soccer Program-  Technical Tuesdays and Free play Fridays.   Save the dates  - Tuesdays and Fridays this spring on the dates and times below

For Ages 7 ,8, 9,10 ( 2016, 2015, 2014, and 2013 Birth years):

Technical Tuesdays (6pm-7pm)-  Tuesdays, March 19th, 26th; April 2nd &9th, 16th, 23rd, & 30th and May 7th, 2024.

Free Play Fridays (6:30pm-7:30pm)-  Fridays, March  22nd & 29th; April 5th, 12th, 19th, & 26th; & May 10th, 2024.
 

For Ages 11,12,13,14 &15 (2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, and 2008 birth year players):

Technical Tuesdays (7pm-8pm)-  Tuesdays, March 19th, 26th; April 2nd &9th, 16th, 23rd, & 30th and May 7th, 2024.

Free Play Fridays (7:30pm-8:30pm)-  Fridays, March  22nd & 29th; April 5th, 12th, 19th, & 26th; & May 10th, 2024.

Costs:    $99    Hobe Sound Soccer Club has subsidized this program to keep your costs low, however places are limited to the first 20 participants in each of the two age groups.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Technical Tuesdays- Players will learn and enhance key technical skills, becoming more comfortable on the ball and will gain personal confidence whilst learning to understand when and where to use each skill in a game. Technical skills are a fundamental of the game of soccer and it has been proven that more touches on the ball along with correct practice holds permanent in the athletes muscle memory in such a way it becomes a natural behavior. Each participant will take part in soccer activities and drills to bring out their natural traits and abilities.  Technical Tuesdays is One hour of Technical learning which includes The Arts of-⁃ Ball mastery⁃ Dribbling⁃ Shooting⁃ Running with the ball⁃ Turning/ shielding the ball⁃ Controlling the ball⁃ Passing the ball.  The emphasis of these technical sessions is for individual players to learn to be confident with the soccer ball at their feet.  

Free Play Fridays- Players will be encouraged to perform skills learned from the Tuesday skills sessions in game play, making their own personal decisions, working with teammates with regards to restarts in the game and roles and responsibilities. Encouraging leadership, character building sportsmanship and Fair Play. Each player will be encouraged to develop a greater understanding of when and where to utilizes each fundamental technical skill. Game play will include speed of play , understanding game strategies where decisions are made by teammates collectively. Coaches will be in attendance but games will be run by players using the Free Play method of guided discovery. Challenges and problem solving in games will be made clear and success will be measured by implementation of new found skills, decision making, and development.  Results will be a by product of the games.  Players and coaches will create a safe, fun holistic environment where praise and encouragement are the key components.

Hobe Sound will use experienced and volunteer coaches for each session.

          Recreational Developmental Players are required to have proper soccer attire and equipment which consists of the following:

  *Proper soccer shorts and practice shirt

  * Shin Guards (must be worn inside socks)

  * Proper Soccer Cleats (Baseball or Football cleats are not permitted)

          All participants must be registered with HSSC and will play in age appropriate groups.
